This article is about a 48 year-old mother in search of her daughter. Although she did not find her daughter, she freed many other girls from the dark realm of prostitution.
Susana Trimarco's love for her daughter is so great, she even disguised as a prostitute herself and went into bars to look for Marita. This shows us that, parents love their children so much, they are beyond willing to sacrifice for their children. She even risked her own life just to save her daughter. She tried all ways to find her daughter back, and though she did not find Marita back, she saved many others.
Through all the obstacles she faced, she did not give up the search for Marita. Her efforts garnered the attention of the country, and brought the issue of prostitution to the world. It told the world that such an issue exists, and needs to be targeted. Because of her efforts, 20-year-old Jessica Cativa was freed just two days after her capture. It teaches us the lesson of determination, and others before self. Susan might not have freed her own daughter, but she freed a lot of other girls, who are daughters of others.
Susana Trimarco truly deserves the International Women of Courage Award. Not all women have this much courage, to even disguise herself as a prostitute and travel into seedy bars just to look for her daughter. Although she may not find her daughter back again, she continued her search, which is for all the girls that have disappeared. She truly is a heroine, and her courage deserves all our admiration.
